Evening comes....

The evening in my town can be like this:
if you sit at the terrace of our favourite restaurant and enjoy!
if you sit in our garden, with good friends!

In New York an evening can look like this:
Times Square is a favourite place and you can actually feel life here.

When you leave the movie theatre in Rockefeller, together
with you beloved son, it looks like this!
In my point of view prople who live in New York AND The Hamptons must have it all: life and action in NY and the ocean and beautiful nature in The Hamptons?!
I myself know that I need both things: the calm and cosiness of my coastal town where the cafés and restaurants are cute and intimate and friendly and then the action and the liveliness of a big city (and when it comes to big cities I love New York, Miami and London).
Since we recently moved to this part of our country I now have my ocean haven at home and experience a new big city: Copenhagen!
I'll take you with me in both places.

"I want"!

Since I'm starting this blog from scratch I suppose I ought to show you what I want?
Since forever I've loved the interiors I see from The Hamptons. Recently that decorating style has reached Europe and is here called "New England".
I have never been to The Hamptons but can't wait to go!
This summer my husband and I and our youngest child moved to the south of our country, to a very pretty old little town, right by the sea. This little town actually reminds me a lot of The Hamptons and I think it's a Hamptons-mimature, of sorts!
My husband also thinks so, so now we've decided to decorate it in Hamptons' style. Or New England style, as we say in Europe.
Exciting!
One room - the den/guestroom - will be in New York style, since I absolutely love New York.
This blog will be around to follow our renovation.

Beneath, a couple of pictures of what I want, stylewise:

Well, this last picture will be a challange for our garden: it's practically the same size as the pool and deck, in total!!
