My wish for 2012 was for it to be a little lighter and I'd say so far - so good!
I feel really good this sunny gorgeous day.
I'm still on a high after seeing my fantastic parents-in-law and getting some real life altering insights from them. To think a dinner with the in-laws can truly affect you and make you feel like you can fly?
Eh?!! Go figure, but it did.
There's something to be said for experience, for sure. Sharing experiences is a force of some magnitude and when I shared a few of my experiences in a work area that my father-in-law has a whole lot of experience in, his replies hit me like a fist in the gut.
He, the much accomplished man with a fab career, had the same analysis and experiences as I have and that, my friends, was almost mind blowing. A comfort in a way and a reason to really think, in another way.
Happenings after a dinner. In-laws occupied with an iPhone!
Dessert almost ready.
The Boy showing his grandparents some important stuff.
And yet some more stuff that's important!
Gifts were presented: my mother-in-law's fab jams.
Doing it "My way"
I've come to learn that I must do things my way and be me. For there is no one else I can be.
As the words out of the series "West Wing":
-Let Bartlet be Bartlet!
:-)
I think Frank Sinatra sings it so well in "My way":
"...
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew,
when I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall, I did it my way.
....
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not him self, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels, and not the words of one who kneels,
The record shows, I took the blows and did it my way!
..."
And as if the sun wanted to keep my great spirits and moods good company, here are a few rays of sun for you, compliments of a cold Scandinavia, enjoy:
It's not certain that one notices rays of light.
When I finally saw this I was astounded by the shadow it cast!
Playing with the curtains...
Dear sweet sun, please do stay!
We're all eating it up eagerly!
Still out of reach but at the same time, still lurking....
Spring is out there - it's just playing some hide and seek with us!!
This is soul food.
And I'm feeling victorious, downright invincible!
The grass is still green and isn't that quite the perk?
The photographer. Happy to see a blue sky!
It is pure eye candy, to me.
Hoping and thinking we all might have kick started the week, I hereby wish a continued happy week!
It's not too late to make the week happy, blissful and joyous and if you can't do that - make some Fab Moments count.
Today the first day of the last winter month starts here. I think we have four winter months and this is the last one. Charged and ready hence...
See you Friday - a day we all know rocks kinda hard!
I can feel the joy in this blog post !
ReplyDeleteYes, let it be spring soon.
